The 28th Winter Trade Fair Concludes with Success
The 28th China (Hainan) International Tropical Agricultural Products Winter Trade Fair 2025 (hereinafter referred to as the "Winter Trade Fair") concluded successfully at the Hainan International Convention & Exhibition Center after a four-day run. As a pivotal agricultural event ahead of the full operation of the Hainan Free Trade Port, this year’s Winter Trade Fair, themed "Focus on Selected Agricultural Products and Share Business Opportunities of Free Trade", delivered impressive results through its diverse exhibitions, efficient business matchmaking, and robust international collaboration.

Data shows that the Winter Trade Fair attracted nearly 200,000 visitors this year. On-site transactions reached RMB 595.980222 million, including RMB 5.126006 million in online sales and RMB 590.854216 million offline, demonstrating the strong synergy between digital and physical trade channels. Order transactions on site totaled RMB 1.54649 billion, comprising RMB 484.75 million in confirmed contracts and RMB 1.06174 billion in letters of intent. A total of 36 projects were signed, with a combined value of RMB 5.16713 billion. Global exhibitors and buyers leveraged the Winter Trade Fair for precise matchmaking, bridging tropical agricultural products from producers to end markets and reinforcing its role as a premier trade platform.

The 2025 Winter Trade Fair achieved multiple breakthroughs in scale, content, and format, highlighted by five key aspects. First, international participation reached new heights with Thailand and Pakistan serving as dual guest countries of honor, featuring 16 national pavilions and over 100 global trade enterprises. The International Premium Products Section in Hall 3 became a vital showcase for worldwide agricultural achievements, attracting buyers from Belt and Road countries to deepen international cooperation. Second, over 10,000 professional buyers generated continuous orders in the Major Buyer Product Selection Zone, including major agricultural wholesale markets from over 20 Chinese regions; retailers such as Freshippo, CR Vanguard, Yonghui Superstores, and Pagoda; e-commerce and community supply platforms including Alibaba - Taobao & Tmall Group, JD.com, Douyin, Dingdong (Cayman), and MaaMaa; supply chain enterprises such as Shenzhen Joy Wing Mau, Shanghai Xiquee, and Shanghai Ivcsun; as well as international buyers from Thailand, Bulgaria, Pakistan, Canada, and Singapore. The Major Buyer Product Selection Zone hosted over 360 production-sales matchmaking sessions, with many buyer delegations conducting post-fair farm visits, leading to a continuous flow of on-site orders and abundant cooperative intentions. Third, nationwide integration strengthened as Sichuan, the Guest Province, led provincial participation, with multiple provinces and cities forming delegations, while the inaugural China State Farms Exhibition Area united agricultural resources across China. Hainan's 18 city/county regional public brands and 14 tropical featured high-efficiency agricultural whole industry Chains were prominently displayed, constructing a new pattern for national agricultural collaborative development. Fourth, innovation flourished with 16 new product launches and 8 co-branded items in the Debut Product Display Area, empowering industrial innovation and brand upgrading. Fifth, specialty tastings and competitions invigorated the industrial ecosystem. The Tropical Featured Ingredients Tasting & Competitions Section adopted a "display + tasting + competition" format to highlight the core advantages of Hainan's tropical ingredients. Through featured events such as the "Hainan Fresh Products Feast" and the Tunchang Black Pig Cooking Competition, it established a direct link from farm to table, facilitating the branding upgrade of Hainan ingredients and the release of value across the industrial chain.
