The 2025 Hainan International Health and Wellness Industry Expo Grand Opening

The Hainan International Health and Wellness Industry Expo 2025, themed "Empowering the Free Trade Port, Exploring New Opportunities in Medical Tourism and Wellness," opened on December 26 at the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center in Haikou.

This edition of the Expo is a prioritized project introduced and cultivated by Hainan Province. The three-day event occupies an exhibition area of 37,000 square meters, bringing together over 400 renowned domestic and international enterprises. It comprehensively covers the entire industry chain ecosystem of "Medical Care, Tourism, Health, and Wellness." The on-site exhibition showcased cutting-edge achievements across industries, including smart wellness technology, traditional Chinese medicine wellness, high-end medical services, and medical equipment. It attracted organized delegations from over 20 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) as well as multiple cities and counties within Hainan. A range of regionally distinctive wellness products and unique cultural tourism resources collectively presented a vivid testament to the integrated, mutually beneficial development of cultural tourism and health and wellness industries.

As a premier health and wellness industry event following the island-wide customs closure of the Hainan Free Trade Port, the Expo will concurrently host multiple thematic forums, including the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance and Innovation Development Forum and the Haikou Marathon Forum. A series of featured activities, including free medical consultations with renowned physicians from top-tier hospitals, new book launches, and investment promotion sessions, will also be organized to provide exhibitors, citizens, and visitors with rich interactive experiences and high-quality health services.

    During the opening ceremony, the "2025 China Health and Wellness Industry Trends Report" and the "First-ever Assessment Results for Healing Hotels and Wellness Residential Communities in Hainan" were unveiled.

As a landmark platform for the development of the health and wellness industry in the Hainan Free Trade Port, this edition of the Expo is projected to attract over 60,000 visitors. The successful hosting of the Expo will further facilitate global connections within the health and wellness sector and propel the synergistic development of the "Medical Care, Tourism, Health, and Wellness" industries in the Hainan Free Trade Port.

This edition of the Expo is jointly organized by the China Association of Geriatric Health Care, the China Meteorological

Service Association, and the Hainan Climate Therapy and Health Preservation Association. It is supported and guided by organizations including the China Federation of Industrial Economics and the China Pharmaceutical Culture Research Association, with the People's Political Consultative Conference Daily Culture Media Co., Ltd. serving as the executive organizer.
